We went through the same thing a while ago, my wife settled on the very lightweight Husqvarna BT 125, think it is just around 14 lbs.

This little backpack blower is easy to start and runs great, but it is just designed to blow grass from the driveway. Not powerful enough for all but the smallest leaf cleanup.

In the meantime my wife got the Stihl 600. Despite the 23 lbs or so, she prefers this blower now for all work, had not used the old one in over 2 years.

The specs on this blower say it weighs 13.2 pounds dry. It has a tube mounted control. Anybody using this one? Thanks.

This looks like our Husqvarna BT 125. As I wrote above, my wife used it for a while, but is using now the Stihl 600 all the time. It's just no comparison in performance.

I bought one of these last year, but I think even my handheld beat it's performance. I returned it.

Best power to weight has to be the Stihl BR600. I like mine a lot.
