ok i snapped a pic when i was there the other day...if you look closly you can see where the two dual wheeled tracks go....one track is real distinct...the other you have to look closly....they can both be smoothed out easier than i thought....and i'm going to fill them in with topsoil....no rototilling....and even tho they look "good" in some spots...they both have to be filled the entire way.

if you look on the left of the screen theres a spot of gravel about 8 feet by 4 feet....they put in a test well there recently and just covered the ground with gravel...if they want me to i will add a few inches of topsoil there so some grass will grow.....i'm still undecided on a price.....i dont want their jaws to drop if i say "900"...but i also want to get the most i can....

should i go for 900 or less?? help me out guys i have to call them tomorow.

message from imdawrlus:

ok so i go in to the office today and talk to the lady in charge....i tell her everything i plan to do, and tell her its going to be a lot more work.

then i said to her, "honestly tell me, is 900 too much??" and she says "lets make it an even 1000"

it was my jaw that dropped not hers.....i couldent beleve it.

she told me to wait until she calls, she just has to get the "go ahead" from the upper management, and from the company that made the ruts.

i couldent beleve it.....i will post back with updates as they come.

$1000 sounds pretty good for a job like that, around here.

that doesn't include a barrier does it?

You can't charge extra because it takes you twice as long to do the job because you have crappy or outmoded equipment.

And, if they don't pay, put a shovel upside their head.

darn good if you ask me.

nope, no barrier.

all i'm gonna do is tamper down the edjes where the tire went through, and fill them up...maby pack down the soil a little bit more and make sure everythings good.

then put a couple inches over that gravel over the left....that thousand includes maby 2 yards MAX of dirt, at 20 bucks a yard, and a little grass seed and maby a bail of hay to help the grass germinate in the spring.

question tho, how much soil should i really put over that gravel? is 2 or 3 inches enough?

ps, i'm on this name because for some odd reason, my other account goes sloooooooooooow as heck when i sign in.
