if i did that would it be like this?

the legal name for the business would be "Justin McElroy"

but on my truck and advertising i can still use "J.M. Lawn & Landscape"

or would i have to file for a trade name to do that?

You register a name and then a DBA (doing business as.)

i think im just going to go with the LLC
