What tires to buy?

Time for new tires for my 3/4 ton. The stockers only made it 31k and i don't feel safe making through winter with them. Are there any good safe tires for 160 or less?

I am going from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16, should i replace the spare also.

Myself I have been having decent sucess with LTX M/S Michelins they might be a little more than 160 each. If you go to 1010 tires you can get a idea on prices and reviews.

I got 60K out of a set of BFGoodwrench All Terrain T/As on an F-150 2X4 that I have. They are kinda high, but worth the money. Good grip in wet of offroad conditions and the do not make road noise either. I am soon going to need a set on my new 01 Chevy HD. I am thinking of getting these again.

I agree with total lawn BF goodrich is the way to go, i have a set of 265/75 16 on a 97 chevy with 70,000 miles & confident they will make it threw the winter. They have a much higher load rating than your stockers & are a all around good tire on& off the road.

We have 285 sport king all terrains on one of the 2500's and there great. Almost exactly like the BFG all terrain but a lot cheaper. I dont remember the exact price but definitly under 160.

I wouldn't be buying Sport Kings we have had people here with blow outs or broken belts in the tires. The Sport King A/T is a horrible tire some people were lucky with them but many were not. I have a almost new set of LT-235/86R-16s that came on my 95 F-450 in my basement I replaced them with Michelins.
