No posting of e-mail addy

I know that you can't post an e-mail address on the site, but what is the actual reason for this? Spam? Just curious.

Don't post your e-mail anywhere on Lawnsite. Spammers go through sites like these and look for e-mail addresses to sell.

Automatic bots I believe that just scan the sites for email addys. I've actually had members pm me to ask me to remove their addys after they realized that the # of spam their emails increased dramatically.

So, why not let the people decide if they want to run the spammer risk, and not make it a Banned thing... Spammers can spam me all they want, I just delete those emails.
