LCO's from Southeast Pa. When do you usually start mowin?

Since this is my first season, and I will probably be the world's smallest LCO as far as equipment and crew, I'm sure most of my customers will intially be one-time customers for the first cut. If they like me, which i'll do everything possible to make that happen, I will approach them with a seasonal contract. My question though is how do you determine when to come out for the first mow. Will they call after seeing a flier or talking to one of my spring cleanup customers and tell me when exactly they need me or will they leave it to me to keep an eye out on their lawn and make a judgment call. It might sound like a silly question but, if i'm lucky enough and my fliers are successful, when i start recieving phone calls i don't wanna sound like a newbie even though i am.

I'm not far from you over in NJ and we usually start mowing the first week of April.
