Western Red Cedar

A customer has inquired into having a Western Red Cedar maybe one or two planted to help screen a telephone pole. I'm wondering is that a good choice? Any other suggestions for something rather tall and quick growing?

Hows about pine or spruce? Check into white pines.

Check out Virginia Native Cedars which are actually Junipers.

White pines are junk! 2 inches of heavy snow and the limbs snap like twigs!

They grow wild here. I plant them in swampy areas and they groe 3 feet a year.....great for screens.

I often recomend planting a woody vine to disquise telephone poles. Trumpet creeper or Bittersweet, to name a few.
