New equipment questions
I'm just starting out this year and will be buying some equipment over the next few weeks. I just submitted my LLC articles yesterday. Will be applying for my EIN after the LLC article comes back. My question is... can I get "wholesale" discounts on new equipment and do I need to pay sales tax on equipment used as part of the business? (Trailer, mowers, etc). Thanks for the help.

no you will not get wholesale discounts. you might get a good deal from specific dealer if you are buying a good amount of stuff from them.

The only things you can get at discounted or wholesale prices are items that you would resell. This includes things mulch, plants, trees, sod, stone, and fertilizer to mention a few. Your LLC formation papers and EIN number have nothing to do proving eligibility. What you need is a sales tax number or similar document if you live in a sales tax free state from the state.
