White paint or new fence.

Be careful where you spray iron, it will not come off most things once it dries.

There is a product carried at most hardware stores called Rustaid.
It works real well. We use it in cases like you explained as well as cleaning our fiberglass tanks. Spray on let sit about 15 mins. and rinse off. Two applications and our tanks is snow white again.

Cool, I'll spray my house and see if it works!
Really, thanks for the tip, I have a stain on a window seal, I'll give it a try.

Yes but takes multiple applications. Also take manganese stains out of concrete. We use it to launder our shirts with iron stains. Put it in a spray bottle and spot treat the areas on the (white) shirts then wash as usual. They come out looking brand new.

Iron stains

Lesco carries a product called "Rust Eraser" that works well.
