Did you have to have your Allison replaced with a new 6 speed unit for some reason?

I did not replace it but I am not the original owner. They must have replaced it.I don't know a whole lot about trany's just going off what my mechanic told me.

Nah, it's probably got the original as they don't go bad too often. The Allison 1000's were only a 5 speed prior to 2006.
