Canada Stipes or no Strips

Well I started this as a suggestion to start a section for Canadian content.
So here it is
Welcome all Fellow Canadians.
My first question is this Are strips Class or Tacky in Canada.
Here in Nova Scotia most people I talk to think them Tacky ?
Kind of trying to make you lawn look like a Ball field.
But I here in Toronto that a good mow job means good Strips?
How about out west what do you say?
I don't really care for strips myself but I say if you want them go for it.
but if you don't thats cool too.
