Does anyone require their employees to use sun block before they start the day? I want to hire a person to help me this year but I didn't know whether to make them use it or not. Just wondering if there would be a liability issue as far as someone getting skin cancer. I know this sounds kind of morbid but it is a concern.

I don't know where you operate but here in Ontario workman's comp will pay out on cases of skin cancer and can come back against you if you don't have properly documented evidence that you tried to reduce the risk. Cover your butt and make employees wear sun screen, hats, eye protection, steel toed boots etc or get hit with higher premiums.

Make it a condition of employment that they
wear safety gear at all times.Give them a hat
and sunblock and MAKE them wear it.
