An SRW will last alot longer in those harsh environments if built right and will get approval easier. Natural walls have alot more red tape but may look nicer in that environment. Pick your poison.

Job! Wow, no wonder it took so long for approvals. It was worth the wait. That Coventry wall takes a lot of time to layout and it appears very straight and randomized nicely.
