Outdoor Restaurants
in my local vicinity, many of the restaurants/bars have been forced to open "outdoor" type entertainment areas, mainly to accommodate the no-smoking laws in Massachusetts. Some are elaborate with full outdoor bars and counters, while others are just simple patios with tables. Any one have any idea or success in marketing to this target audience?

Target them in what way? If for landscaping, that'd be simple. Shoot a bid for the stone & lighting.

has anyone built a patio at a restaurant? If so how did you get the bid, it just doesn't seem like the "word of mouth" type of job.

I also thought about this. I'd almost think you have to send flyers out or pitch to some restaurant owners at chamber of commerce meetings etc.
