Scag mower loses rpm
I need some help The mower is a 48" deck motor is a 14 Hp kohler.starts on 1 pull ,the problem i have is when you switch on the blades it loes rpm and never regains rpm.I have changed the oil,air,gas filters and a new spark plug.It doesn't smoke and seems to have good compression (it is hard to pull).Please help. Thanks Jerry

Jerry,
Sounds like you need to check/adjust the governor, If working properly when a load is applied it should bring the RPM back up.
