TEC Ryder 17

# 204604-A OHV-17

Unit runs only with choke. when choke is released, unit stops. I have already changed Plug, fuel, fuel filter & even cleaned out the bottom half of the carburetor which is Plastic. Unit still runs with choke in place.

Any input ?

Thanks in advance.

I also noticed some back firing thru the carby and muffler. The coil is clean. I am not sure what the valve clearance should be but they see to not be too tight at TDC.

Valves should both be .004".

Simplest thing for plastic bowl carbs is to ket the "bowl kit" from Tec. It costs about $18 and avoids a lot of messing around.
I think your PN is 730639, but verify with your dealer.
