The demographics showed like a 80% to 90% home ownership for subscribers and near $60,000 average yearly income. So it was more appealing than the big Oregonian. I'd usually put in 2000 and it cost me about $120 for printing the flyers and inserting. I'd get like one customer per 60 that way (over weeks or a few months). Better results than the display ads in the same paper / full run. Probably because its a full sheet, and they can slide it right out. I get about 1 customer per 40 going door to door, but that takes an hour. So the paper speeds things up. But I'll still put them at doors of homes where I like the neighborhood, plus the newspaper inserts.

Maybe it's just me, but when I see 60 pages of stuff I might have to go I might just pass. Maybe have it more like check our table of content for what your looking for.

Other people may be the same or different. The other side of the coin would be: "Oh... 60 pages of content - great. Sounds better than the other landscape websites with just 5 pages of stuff about themselves. Must be something to this" There would be the two ends of the spectrum. The table of content phrase could be a good statement to work in though - one way or the other.

You are obviously an intelligent person. I see the overall picture of what you are going for and I think it will convey professionalism to potential clientele. I like your way of thinking (at least on this particular subject). You have managed to think outside the box and this will help separate you from the competition. Job well done!

Got them !!
5000 color flyer / brochures on #80 gloss paper. $635 Came out almost exactly like the doc. & pdf. file posted earlier, except that they outlined the images with a fine burgundy border, and changed the "M. D. Vaden" to burgundy also. Also, the same border around the long narrow green rectangles. The photos on the finished ones look marvelous. And they wrap bundles of them in plastic - 500 to a bundle.

If someone happens to make an offer and we end up moving, I'll move them out fast in our new location west side of Portland. One reason is that I don't mow lawns and do a lot of pruning, which is a good winter job. Then I get calls next spring from flyers of the previous seasons, since people hang on to them. I wish our house would sell, so I could start building my new business domain instead of riding on cruise control down here
