Echo seems good to me, I have the SRM-261T and i'm pretty pleased with it, but I like to switch up and try different brands.

I have an srm-210 also and its not not powerful enough. I have been working with someone lately and using his srm-230. Very light and plenty of enough power.

if you want to stay at a lower cost you might look at the Kawasaki krt27a I have had very good luck with it plenty of power. I will use it before my echo and it has held up well. no probs so far after a year (knock on wood) cost is low. guy on ebay sells them for $202 del. it is a little longer and a lighter than my echo to.
