Y'all will be happy to know I hooked up with irrig pro with 30 years as a licensed contactor in NC.

He's going to audit ALL my properties and provice consultation (ect) through my learning curve (Another 30 yrs?)

Any advice on how I should structure this business relationship will be very helpful

Thanks

I'll do it for 100 per property plus airfare!!!!

My guess is that you will want him to bill your customers directly as they will ultimately decide if they want the 'audit' or not. Don't get involved until you have their okay. That will cause big problems.

The audits will be free.
He will find what needs to be done.
Then, I will propose the work to my clients.

One thing at a time though...I'm waiting to see how this relationship develops over this particular job.

I will keep posting as to how this goes so y'all can advise me of any red flags.

Thanks alot!

Firstred flag..............free audits
Means he isn't busy.....bad sign
Means he's new........not always bad but watch out
Means he doesn't really mean free

I could be wrong but....

I am swamped, even when not, no free audits

just my .o2[

He's new...in town.
His main bus./life is in NC.
He recently obtained a second home on the island.

On this job, I am treating him like a sub-contractor. I'll do the prep work before and the sodding after, but he is doing the irrigation. During which, he will show me "all I need to know to get me started installing and servicing irrigation systems"...

Sounds too good to be true...

Now that you have me thinking about it, there are other red flags too....

I may have to start a new thread..."How to shake a sprinkler scrub"

BTW, I'm re-thinking your offer

Sorry, no way will one job show you 'ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW' about irrigation.

A lot of people think so, that is why I am so busy repairing that crap.

Offer still stands.
