What justifies value ?
Just wondering what makes the value of a used mower. Question on a 1999 Bunton 48" gear drive walk behind New it cost 3,100 and has about 300 hours on it. What would make the value go down more ? If it had big repairs done to it ? all it has had done to it is new belts and some small carb work done because the throttle cable had a problem (linkage) No trans or motor problems its a 14hp kohler. What would be a fair price? I have seen some large LCO's ask 1,000 for Scags that are 4-5 years old that have atleast 800+ hours on it.

I think the condition of mower, engine horsepower, and also if it were a hydro drive would help to increase price at selling time.
