CGS, invest in a production times manual, the money is well worth it. Nelson Associates book store has a link at the top of this page.
1gal 15 per hr
3gal 9 " "
7" 5 " "
2.5" 36 " 2hr

CLM1-
Is there a web page where that is available? If so, could you post it? I'd be very interested. As we add new services to our lineup, a pricing guide would help. I'm tired of the "fly by night" literature that is so readily available on this subject. I see the advice some of these "gurus" offer and I realize right away that the source isn't trustworthy. I'm looking for legitimate answers, not hoodoo voodoo infomercial fodder. Thanks!
John

I was just wondering if I was charging to little or too much.
What I'm currently charging is:
1 gal. $8-$10 ea. (depending on the terrain)
2 gal. $8-$10 ea. (depending on the terrain)
5 gal. $15-$25 ea. (depending on the terrain and if they need to be staked[5gal. trees])
This is if you have to quality pick them, deliver, and install them.

I went ahead and ordered the Means CostWorks Site Work & Landscape Cost Data 2000 the cost was $99.95 in CDROM the SKU# is 65280. It should arrive next week. You could go to Bookstore and do a search for "Landscape". It gives you a list of all Landscape related books. You may want to consider purchasing Landscape Estimating, 3rd Edition by Sylvia H. Chattin
ISBN 0-87629-534-0 the cost is $62.95. I looked up this book at Amazon.com and the price was around $40. I may order this also but I want to get my software first.
You could go to Barnes and Noble or other book stores and check out the paper backs. It looks really hard at first to understand but if you read the instructions carefully you will be able to learn it pretty quickly.
