Good deal - Exmark WB

Newbie here. I just talked to a dealer in a town about 30 miles from me. He has a 2001 36" Exmark WB, 5 speed that was his demo model. He wasn't sure what motor is has on board but assume it is the smallest. He said it has less than 10 hours on it. He wants $1800. How good a deal is this? The mower does not come with a mulch kit nor bagger.

he doesnt know what motor it has? isnt that kind of necessary to know? most dealers can tell the difference. unless he is getting it in, the dealer should know.

I agree with mbd the dealer should know what motor is on it
All he has to do is look at the engine to see the model.

I can only compare it to the deal I got from my dealer. 1999 Exmark 36" hydro viking w/b, 15hp Kawi engine, mulch kit , VERY low hrs, $2300.00.

The mower was in the warehouse and he was sitting in the showroom. He thought it was a 15 HP but didn't know if it was the Kohler or Kawasaki.

If you can use a 36 and he will warranty it,then it's not a bad deal from what I see.Ask him to throw in a few extras and find out how bad he really needs to move it.

That dosent sound to bad at $1800. Brand new that would run around $2200 I beleive. So you are saving at leats $400 on a machine that has only been used 10 hrs. Make sure he gives you a full warranty.
