NEED, 2 know your tip size before any one can answer that 1..

A 4gpm should do fine for up to 20 inch. 5-6gpm will run a 20-24inch real well.

I'm in the market for a surface cleaner too. Thanks for the info - also another question, what is better/preferred, the wheel type or the nylon brush kind for a 16-20"?

I believe the whisper wash surface cleaners are the best you can get. For the size you want, the Classic is ideal.
