They don't call us the Left Coast for nuthin' bub....

Maybe because we are a little more multicultural we're more inclusive....

Merry Christmas, Joyous Yule (two nights ago), have a really Kwazy Kwanzaa, and for anyone in the islands who might be tuned in... Mele Kalikimaka.


Add the Jewish celebration of Hannukah,

the Amaterasu celebration in Japan,

Diwali in India,

the DōngZhž Festival in China

Tōji Festival in Vietnam and other parts of East Asia

Deuorius Riuri in ancient Gaul,

the Zoroastrians' celebration of Deygān,

Beiwe Festival in Scandinavia,

and many others....

So, what do they all have in common?


They're all about keeping away the darkness, or celebrating the return of the light, either literally or figuratively.
