roundup and bulbs
Had to do an estimate today. The lady wants her flower beds, (which are nothing but weeds ) cut down to the ground. She has some bulbs in the ground that will come up in the spring. Will roundup hurt the bulbs any?....thanks

Round Up will only kill plants if it is sprayed on green foliage - if there is no foliage then you are safe, if you wait until they start to break ground then you can kill them. Joe

Quote:
Glyphosate (the active ingredient) is absorbed through the leaves and translocated to growing points. Because of this mode of action, it is only effective on actively growing plants. Matt |
