How to make pine trees grow faster

I am going to plant about a hundred saplings. I have easy access to irrigation. I don't want to wait 10 years to have them 5 feet tall. If I give them alot of water all summer long will this increase the growth much faster? Has anyone tried fertilizing them? Is there anything else that can be done?

What type of pine trees? If a plant has the sun, water and nutrients it needs it will grow at the best rate. If you try and force any plnat to grow beyond it's normal growth rate you will be looking at a stressed plant, and that means pest and disease problems.
