Got a problem with a fuse

I have a 60 inch 28 hp EFI and today while I was mowing my blades shut down. After a few quick checks I took the fuse out for the blade switch and it was very hot. Hot enough to have started melting the plastic around it but the funny thing is that it never blew. I stuck it back in and the blades started working. Do I have the wrong amp fuse? The one in it is a 15 amp. Could I have something grounding out? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hmmm....
Electrical is a tricky item to diagnose over the internet...
I would check all the wiring from the harness under the controls all the way down the frame and under the engine.
You have to make sure there isnt a shorted wire somewhere.
Is your unit under warranty still?
Have you talked to your dealer?
If there is a short, it should of blown a 15 amp fuse.

It could be a loose connection at the fuse causing some resistance and heat build up.
