has anyone ever had a dealer sponsorship?

I am wondering about having a dealer sponsor my lawn service in return for lease or purchase incentives for trade on advertising on my equipment. Any suggestions or comments?

I've never seen this done. It sounds interesting though. The
only problem might be that the dealer whose machines you
want to purchase may figure he's getting exposure just having
his brand of equipment on your trailer without having to give
you any special deals. If there are several dealers of the brand
of equipment you want to use this could be a way to approach
the dealer with your plan. Just make sure his advertising on your
rig doesn't overshadow your company logo etc. Also I wouldn't
settle for inferior equipment or service just to get a break on the price.

I've never seen this done either, but I have a customer who is marketing major/car dealer. He said that it is possible to get trucks for cheap or even free from certain dealers in exchange for advertising their name on the truck. If you want a sponsorship from an equipment dealer though, it might be a good idea to ask about advertising their company name on your truck rather than on the equipment-which advertises itself. Who knows, its worth a shot!
