Wand Instead of Gun

Has anyone ever hooked a small wand up to a skid sprayer similar to the setup you would find on a backpack sprayer?

I had good results last year with the fine mist I was able to apply with my backpack. Just from the trial runs that I have been making with my skid sprayer I don't think I get as good of coverage. Now I will be the first to admit that I'm very new to the idea of using one of these guns. I have the TeeJet gun with the red tip.

It seems like I would use less product and still get good results using a small wand like the one on my gas Echo BP sprayer.

Thanks...

From our experience the most popular nozzle for that gun is the grey one that puts out 1.5 gpm the red one you are using puts out 4.0 gpm so you may want to either purchase a smaller one or another popular wand is the lawnjet spray gun that will produce a 4-6' spray pattern with a larger droplet so you are not getting too much drift. This is the link to the lawnjet - http://www.rittenhouse.ca/asp/product.asp?PG=71
