I agree on the price situation. The thing with the stator is at the beginning of the season it usually won't spark. So I take it apart and clean the stator and flywheel and then it will start. That is what is strange.

Well, replaced the coil and it seems to start fine after mowing with it for a while and shutting it off. I'll give it back to the groundskeeper and see what he says. We are trying to get him a new unit. One with a floating deck so he can adjust it a lot easier. This one needs the blades shimmed at the spindles. PITA!
I was looking at the Scag and Exmark. The scag is hydro and has the setup where you just turn or push/pull the handle bar to go forward or back or turn. Also got prices on Toro and John Deere. Thanks for the help guys.
