Correct Oil for Z260

I have a PM Z260 with a 25 hp Kohler Command. I have seen recommendations for 10W30 from Kohler and 15W50 from the folks here. In both cases, it looks like Mobil Synthetic is the weapon of choice.

Does one or the other oil provide better engine protection?

Correct engine oil

Kyop, The recommended oil from Kohler will give the engine adequate protection under normal operating condition, what ever that means. If you want additional protection, I would suggest going with the Mobil Synthetic but, it does cost considerably more money.

Respects,
Dan Kilgas

Re: Correct engine oil

Gladiator:

I'm not putting a whole lot of hours on it so the synthetic is ok. What do you think of 10W30 vs. 15W50?

Thanks for the help.
