Drainage Ditch

I have a client that wants to do something with a ditch in his back yard. The water is eroding all the soil and he wants to keep that from happening. Its a pretty small ditch maybe 2 feet in diameter and 30 ft long. I am needing some advice. I am really into just lawn maintenence so dont really know where to start. I have some pics of the ditch I can put up later if needed.

Thanks

I would install a dry creek bed. I think they look really nice and are pretty easy to put in.
