Is it to late to lay st.augistine?
I was wondering if I could re sod my yard now or is it to late? lmk!

I'm in the metro N.O. area and we lay St. Aug all the way till the end of November.

I would suggest not to, but if you can still find some st. aug. plugs at a lawn and garden shop, go for it. It is a warm season grass so i would think sometime in the late spring would be "ideal" conditions. Keep it watered pretty good to. I have st. aug. in my front yard. Planted several plugs a few years ago.

I would be wary if it was like 20 pallets... if it is only a few... go for it. I think St Augustine's root system when cut as sod is much weaker than centipede and bermuda. I don't like to lay any past October 15 or so.
