Wheelhorse,Toro & Dixie chopper

I have often wondered what the connection between dixie and wheelhorse was. I knew it played a fact in part of toro buying wheelhorse. I remember years ago that a dealer started telling me about toro deal and things became busy and never finshed the story.I purchased a wheelhorse brochure the other day of all the 1975 wheelkhosres models. After looking at them the engines sure were alot smaller but they in all around were so much better than the toro tractors of today. Its a shame what toro has done to the wheelhorse line. the only one that resembles the old line is the new 324 otherwise they look like the toros. Wonder if toro will slowly phase out the lawn boy mower line to.I like the toro products but guess I just dont like they way big companies goblle up smaller ones and then phase them out.
