Pool Patio L.I. NY (before & After)

The exsisting brown brick patio was laid on a 5" base of sand (never saw that before, the patio was 25yrs old). By the time everything was dug i think we excavated like 11" of material waste. The pavers are Cambridge 6x9's and are laid in 45 degree herring bone pattern. We built the steps, walls and piers out of cinder block and veneered the pavers to it. Then capped it all off w/ 2'' rock face blue stone. I didn't want to touch the natural stone coping because, the mortar was connected to the tile in the gunite pool and it would have of been a nightmare.
