Unhappy HELP How to fix fertilizer burn

One of my guys burned parts of a custermers lawn. Most of it has been watered in but patches are clearly burned. First time this happened to us. Do we have to do anything with the spots before seed and soil.? What is the best way to bring it back?

Was it the overapplication of a granular fert? Or was it a spill? Did you remove as much of the spilled granular fert as physically possible?

Mass irregation (lots and lots of water) on the site of the spill to leach as much fert out of the root zone as possible. When you are convinced that the fert is leached out, overseed the area. The more soil contact with the seed the better the germination. If it's a big area, rent or use a slit seeder to overseed. Small area - overseed and top dress the area. Make sure the home owner keeps the seeds damp. You can shorten the germination time by soaking seeds in water. Let the seeds sit in water over night and use the following morning. Good luck.

Thanks !!

It seems like over application but the burn is only in patches. High areas in the lawn. Lucky they watered it in well.
