Maine supply yard prices help

Posting for a buddy who has 200 acres outside Augusta. He has been approached by someone to turn his acreage into a gravel pit. He has thousands of yards of loam and was looking to get a value on the material. He has been offered $0.50 a yard for the unscreened material. Being a few states away my numbers here mean nothing to him. was wondering what you guys from Maine would think of the deal?

How does it compare to your prices in your area? Mass isn't that far from Augusta, Maine.

Personally, I don't have any idea. To be honest, it sounds low, considering what a load of screen loam goes for, but I really don't have any idea.
