deck height

I have a super z 60'' mower and in the owners manual it says that the rear of the deck will measure a quarter inch higher than in the front. Does this mean that it was set from the factory with a quarter inch pitch or that the deck is just a quarter inch higher in the rear?

The deck is set from the factory and should be double checked by your dealer.
It is adjustable via chains and bolts

Hope this helps

The question is whether it is set from the factory with a quarter inch pitch or is the rear of the deck a quarter inch higher? I know that it should be checked, but i'm asking whether it's preset with a quarter inch pitch or whether i need to do that myself. If it's not already set to a quarter inch pitch with the front of the deck already being a quarter inch lower then if i set the pitch to a quarter inch the rear of the deck will be a half inch higher, right?
So which is it?

The deck is built the same all the way around.
It is suspended by chains, the rear of the deck is adjusted so it is 1/4 inch higher.
Find a nice level piece of concrete, measure your deck at the 4 outermost points, it should be a 1/4 inch higher in the rear.
If it is not you need to adjust it, or have your dealer do it.
To be perfect you could measure front to rear from the blade tips also.
Hope this clears it up for you

Yes you have a 1/4" pitch already set, ready to roll.
