AMBER lights ( strobes ) in NY ???

Hey , curious , you guys in NY state......

I was reading that when you have a dump truck registered in NY that operates on public or private roads, that you must have an amber hazard light on the cab of the truck that is operated whenever the dump is raised ??? Anyone hear of this ??
