I love my FS 90R. Just got it, and I have "Field Tested" it in the 3 foot high pasture of weeds down the road from me. One path through cut it clean. The stihl 4-mix has plenty of power, yet is still surprisingly quiet.

I was lmfao the whole time i read all these posotive reviews about shindaiwa i ran a t 232 and i think a le 232 or 242 and let me tell you the carbs suck on these machines hmpph my edger would go from high revs to low revs im using my old 125e now and im happier and all you guys who are praising shindaiwa think again you might be happy with them because they perform well in ideal standards but in normal conditions on my lawns 3 cuts a month the 232 was barely keeping up with small mowing on st augistine grass my grandfather took the t232 so i had to buy a fs 90r and my yards were 8 days late pshhh i was literley saying i love this machine.

So in conclusion when you guys get rained out for a week and youre late on your yards your gonna regret the 232s. and they are about the same price got my fs 90 for 280

Well I tried out Stihl 90r and Echo 265 and I ended with the Echo. I love that weedeater and the warranty is just icing on the cake and my Echo dealer goes out of his way to help me. If I have to have something worked on longer than a day, I get a loaner and he takes care of me, calls sometimes to make sure I havent had any issues and see how business is going. Not to mention the great deal he gave me on it, liked it so much also got a Echo 265 edger

Just out of curiousity, did you go with the 265 just because of warranty and dealer support or did you notice much difference in the actual 2 trimmers? Also did you go with the 26 or 265T?

wow im so surprised of people praising shindaiwas have you guys even seen the choke stick thats worst architecture and a cheap weedeater piece of trash from walmart and dont even go ear thick grass with a 232 i tried i thought i was going to break it, And the the le232 is worse theres something with the carburatour that if your doing it like a few days back it starts to spit when it meets high resistance i dont know how to esplain but its like the carburator cant adjust, ANd the fs 90 does weigh more but you can add more attchments and its gotway more torque for roughly the same price i got mine for 280 the only bad thing about it is i dont like the gas cap

Have you narrowed your choices to 2-3 particular brands? models? still don't know?

IK you don't want to, but pay the extra now and thank yourself later.

FS 90R is EVERYTHING you will ever need in a good trimmer. Sips fuel, quiet too.
