granular weed n feed

Just wandering if you guys use granular weed
n feed.
Ive been using it since i got a good deal on it
but havent seen good results with weed killing
very slow and not much weed killing.

Tried to put it on over dew but needs 48 hrs
of no water and good temps.
No way to change irrigation

The granular w&f in my opinion is not for commercial use. If you ever sprayed a liquid herbicide you will see how the two don't compare. Most absorption is foilar(thru the leaf) and the granular requires perfect timing and conditions. This never occures for me in the real world.
I cannot afford to use granular w&f. People would be screaming about the weeds and how do you go back and reapply more if the first application didn't work? Thats why I believe that its for the homeowner who is relatively uneducated on applications.
The stuff does have fertilizing properties so if I were you I would use it as a granular fert application and be ready to spray. Good Luck.

I agree with all the posts here on the limited effectiveness of granular W&F but how do the Scott Lawn Care franchises get away with this? The most I ever see from these guys is the use of liquid herbicides applied from a two gallon hand sprayer along the drive and walkways!

You probably just saw them spot spraying, rather than blanketing the whole thing. Are you sure they didn't also use Permagreen spreaders, also? If that's the case, they probably are spraying as well.
