Why does everyone carry a 21" push mower even if they have a 36" walk behind???

I have a small Kawasaki on a Snapper mower. I have to prime it with gas everytime I want to start it. It's also really hard to pull. Bear in mind I'm used to pull starting engines. My hardest to pull is this Kawasaki followed by my 8 HP Briggs on my Brinley Yard Vac. The Briggs has a big chipper flywheel on it and it's easier to pull than the Kawi. My Honda is almost a 2 finger pull start.

I have alot of postage stamp yards that look much better mowed with a 21" than the 36"
