ransome differential oil
Could some one tell me which grade of oil/lube is required for the front drive differrential in a ransome T-22 diesel front deck mower, the fill plug is in front of the seat down between your feet?
This is an old old ransome T22 diesel ser# 3399 . THX in advance!..........fishermany. |

If I'm not mistaken don't they use the front Diff housing as a resevoir for the hydro system?
Type F is specified but I know that Valvoline and Lucas make a high mileage tranny additive for hydro systems. We have had great results with assing Lucas auto tranny additive to noisy hydro systems on ZTR mowers.

Yes they do use the front diff as a reservoir. They were popular machines back when I was younger. I know I did my share of pump rebuilding on the old SU Pumps. I always stick with the OEM fluid recomendations.
