How to get started??

I have searched and can't really find what I am looking for. I am mainly a lawn maintenance contractor and am very interested in adding outdoor landscape lighting to my services. I feel that I am artistic enough to do this and there really is nobody doing this professionally where I live.

Now, I know most of you will say to find a class from a manufacturer. Problem is, I can't find any manufacturers with a distributor closer than 80 miles from me. Any ideas on how to break into this?

Have any of you lighting professionals considered doing a very short internship (on the job training)? I would be more than willing sometime to go somewhere and have somebody show me the basics for a few days.

Chris, I know you dont think you have any classes going on in your area being taught by a Dist. or manufacturer and an internship would be ideal but we may be able to get you going even though you are in a somewhat remote area in relation to lighting distributors. PM me if you are interested.

Best of luck!
