Is my blower going out?
I've got a 97 walker with about 1100 hours on it, and i just doesn't pick up the grass like it used to... it is cutting ok, it just leaves trails of grass and doesn't fill up the catcher very often.... i checked and everything is clear of cloggs and the blower is blowing, but it's just not doing the job... help on this one please!!!! are my blades bad? i sharpen them regularly...

If you don't have any lucky here you can give a Walker dealer a call. They might be able to diagnose your problem over the phone, or at the very least give you a few ideas to try to get it back up to speed. 1100 hours really isn't that many especially for a walker. Good Luck with it.

Walker blower
Your blower belt idler pulley or idler pulley spring could be worn causing not enough tension on the blower drive belt. This would cause low blower speed and the lack of picking up grass in the hopper. Move the blower idler pulley and see if it turns free or has too much play. Check for good spring return once you push down on the idler pulley spring and let go.
