Landscape Design Software

I'm looking to get landscaping design software. Do any of you guys use it and what kind. What kind do you wish you had. What can your software do (ie. growth cycles, night fall, photo imaging, etc.) How much did it cost. I don't know what to get at this point. I know I want the software to include computer imaging, CAD for landscapes in 2-D, and possibly design work for what a landscape will look like at night. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are going to do a lot of full scale residential work in the upper end market, you will want to stay compatable with engineers, surveyors, and architects CAD drawings. That means the dwg file format.

It all depends what you are doing with it, how accurate you must be, and how involved the drawings need to get, and especially how much of a learning curve you want to go through.
