My truck has a powder coated body. Bought the truck and body new in 2001. I'd say about 2 years ago the powder coating started peeling off. Today it looks the same as a 5 year old body with no powder coating. Faded, rust bubbles, peeling.

I've been wondering is this is normal for 8-10 year old powder coated dump bodies?

They're goals. I certainly invest a lot into the business. Toys before the boys is what I say. I have the equip that makes our jobs much easier. I'm also setup, and continuing to setup, to rock and roll when CNN decides the economy can turn around.

Sheesh! can you work and slower! Wish I could fly along with natural stone work like that.

Day #3 got us about as far as you see there. One of them is really good at flat work, close to me. The other has been with me 4 months and learning. He shows much more interest in vertical work. This can work out nice with one doing flat, one doing vertical + add in a laborer and once I get the technical stuff out of the way..........digging, concrete etc.....I could leave to do other things.

The way we work this one is we run the stone like the block. I run the bottom, come back, run another row etc. So I'm selecting and fitting stone, the other sets it and the other follows doing the same. Once they catch up to me they go back and do joints while I get ahead again. Works well.

The white PVC is for running wire through the wall for lighting that will be illuminating the face. The black pipe is running water out from the footer while weep holes are higher up at grade.

Blue stone, not flagstone. The curve will be a cut curve too. I don't use squares to make curves. I make the cap over sized, mark it and then cut one smooth curve. Its not easy. Screw up an you can waste a lot of time/material fixing it. I'm "surgical" with the saw, so I'm told but that cut makes all the difference. I hate squared off curves.

Its all part of the plan. After Thanksgiving we're going to have him wear Christmas lights to draw attention to him wearing the t-shirt. Creative marketing!
