Truckster motor cost?

Several years ago we purchased a "truckster" fertilizer spreader from Lesco - you know, the kind of spreader that is adapted to go on the front of ztr mower. Well, the 12 volt electric motor that turns the impeller finally locked up and Lesco want $250 for a new one! The whole unit didn't cost much more than that. Is this price correct? Do any of you have another source for this type of motor? It would be nice to be able to use this thing again as it saves us quite a bit of time. Any help would be appreciated.

I replaced mine several years ago and was shocked by the price. Use a Z-spray now though.

I recall paying $150. for that same motor, that was close to 10 years ago. Shop around on the net, im sure you can do better on the price.
