I can get it off but nothing I have really matches the hole.
It is kinda getting stripped out now so I can't really tell.
It takes a allen wrench, I dont have the size info, I have to go out to the shop to take a look and I am not there to do that now.
I am sure someone will chime in with it.

can i not completely drain system but just change oil in reservoir - so it would be not full change but gradual?

what was the purpose of using lighter oil(10W40)?
Here is the info on the change and when it took place.

August 1, 2008.
Discontinued use of 10w-40 motor oil in all Hustler Mini Z's, Super Mini Z's,
Hustler Z's and Super Z's hydraulic systems to 20w-50 motor oil.

I dont believe you will hurt the system is it is small amounts to just top off the system.

Thanks PJ for the info on the oil and drain plug.
Since I stripped out the drain plug wrench hole trying to take it out. I gave up a few years ago and so now I take the filter base loose and push it down to drain it out.
I may try again to open the drain. It is so bad now I could not tell what type of wrench to use anymore.

I would use a socket type drive for the allen, then you can drive it in with a hammer with a larger size to get the plug out, buy a new plug and install it after.
