mow height, & overseeding...HELP

hello,
new on this site, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

i'm needing play turf height for a high school foot ball field in indiana....

also on aerating and overseeding, i understand spring and fall before and after the season begins would be an optimal time for this... but during the season is there any benefit can you get new grass to grow during the season if you overseed? i feel as if with the traffic on the field you would not be very successful????? thanks for your time.

A few years back before I got to busy I would help our school dist. out on the maintenance crew.
We would do the following:
Aeration: once in fall.
Dethatch: We used a overseeder/verti-slicer spring and fall.
Overseeding: In fall after aeration with a high quality athletic brand. (I still use it today on the high end properties)
Fertilization: 4X a year.
Mowing: 2-3X a week so we didn't have to bag at 3.0" during the summer and 3.5" during the season (this helps soften the play surface up to reduce injuries)

Our fields looked pretty good, we would water heavy early in the week until practice began. This way the fields would dry out and force the roots to search for water.
I know last year they began topdressing, I would consider it if the budget money is there.

I hope this helps
